Praying for Priests

Our Sister Elia of the Trinity has gone home to God.
TWO SISTERS FROM LOUISIANA : Our Sister Elia, originally from New Orleans and Sr. Catherine from the Carmel of Lafayette, LA
On April 25, 2025, our Sister went home to God at the age of 82.
Our Sister Elia was a member of our Carmelite Order since 1982, having entered on February 22nd of that year.
She had been a cloistered Dominican nun for 21 years, though she had felt a strong attraction to Carmel as a teenager.
She received the habit of Carmel on June 12, 1982 and made her Solemn Profession on May 31, 1986, in Schenectady, NY. She was with the Community that reopened the Carmel of Rochester 2005.
She is survived by her Sisters in the Carmel of Rochester, as well as by her brother, Alan (Bonnie) Crawford; niece, Jennifer; and nephews Brian, Farrel, Michael and Nathan; and Sr. Natalie Cain, SSJ, Judy and many other cousins.
